We'll Recycle Your Old Appliance for Free

We're delighted to implement the WEEE Regulations to ensure your old appliances are disposed of safely and correctly. The prices on our website include a contribution to a Product Recycling Fund, which ensures that electronic equipment is collected and recycled in a responsible manner. 

How do I return my old appliance for recycling?

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one-forone, like-for-like basis. Each local authority must also accept household WEEE free of charge atits recycling facilities. All WEEE must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods.

When an item is being delivered, we'll remove a similar old appliance for recycling. Provided it is disconnected, clean, fully defrosted, and ready outside for the driver at the time of delivery.

This excludes small appliances, microwaves, table top fridges, mini fridges, lawnmowers and barbecues. These items can be returned through a pre-paid return slip or by returning the old product back to our Warehouse. 

This allows you to send the old appliance back to ourselves, free of charge. We use this method for the recycling of small appliances because it allows us to send them with one of the under 30kg delivery partners, which makes the delivery of your order far cheaper for you! If you have purchased a large and a small appliance, you do not need to request a prepaid label and point of delivery collection applies as per the above.You can also return your old appliance to our Citywest drop off point at any time.

Can I return batteries for recycling?

Yes, you can return your old batteries at our drop off point in Citywest.

Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries (of a type sold here) are taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries. Each local authority must also accept small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in your waste disposal or recycling bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old batteries.

What product can be recycled under the WEEE regulations?

All kitchen appliances including washing machines, ovens, dishwashers, fridges etc as well as batteries and small appliances like toasters, vacuums and kettles.

Can I recycle a unit if I have not made a purchase?

Yes. We accept items for recycling at our Citywest HQ.

How should I prepare the item for recycling?

Please ensure appliances are disconnected and ready in advance of delivery, as all delivery times are approximate.

Can I request for the appliance I sent for recycling to be returned?

Once an appliance is given to our driver for recycling, we are not responsible for the product itself, any fittings, fixtures, attachments or any other items within the appliance(s). This is a recycling service we offer and unfortunately, we cannot facilitate the return of any WEEE appliance after collection. 

My appliance could not be installed/disconnected, how do I recycle it now?

When installation is paid for with your order, we will disconnect and remove your old appliance as part of our service. Please note if an item cannot be disconnected thus leading to installation not being completed, you can drop back the old appliance to our Citywest warehouse free of charge anytime.
