Personal Warmth Right Where You Sit
Cold fingers at a desk can derail a whole afternoon, which is exactly where the Dimplex Desk Friend earns its place. This compact 400 W ceramic fan heater sits neatly beside a keyboard or on a bedside table, using PTC ceramic heating that heats up quickly when the chill sets in. Two heat settings, two fan speeds and an adjustable thermostat let you fine-tune your comfort, while a cool blow mode keeps the air moving on milder days. Finished in White with a leatherette carry handle, it moves easily from study to bedroom, and a detachable, reusable handwarmer adds a cosy extra for chilly mornings.
Why Our Specialists at AD Love It
Our experts love how much versatility is packed into such a small footprint. The PTC ceramic element heats up quickly at the desk, while the cool blow setting turns it into a handy fan when the weather changes. The detachable, reusable handwarmer is a thoughtful touch that makes cold mornings at the keyboard far more bearable.

Comfort Tailored to You
The Desk Friend uses a 400 W PTC ceramic heating element that heats up quickly, suiting desks, bedside tables and small spaces. Two heat settings let you choose a gentle or stronger output, and two fan speeds control how briskly the warm air moves. An adjustable thermostat helps hold your preferred temperature, while the cool blow setting runs the fan without heat, so the same compact unit stays useful as the seasons change.
Touch Controls on Top
Every setting is handled from an LED touch screen on top of the unit, so you can adjust heat, fan speed and thermostat without reaching round the back or bending down. Placing the controls on top suits desk and bedside use, where the heater sits close at hand. A simple 3-pin plug means it is ready to plug in and go, with the power lead exiting at the back to keep things tidy.
Built-In Peace of Mind
Safety features are an important consideration for any heater used close to you, and the Desk Friend includes a tilt switch that provides tilt-over protection if the unit is knocked. A frost protection setting is also built in, helping guard a small space against the cold. Together these features make it a reassuring choice for desks, bedside tables and other compact spaces around the home.
Compact Enough for Any Desk
Measuring 146 mm wide, 190 mm high and 190 mm deep, this heater is sized to sit on a desk or nightstand without taking over your workspace. It weighs just 0.9 kg, and a leatherette carry handle makes it easy to move between rooms as your day changes. That combination of small footprint and easy portability makes it a natural fit for home offices, bedrooms and study corners.
