Description
Big 360-Degree Sound, Compact Size
Some speakers simply play music, but HomePod mini 2 fills the whole room with it. Apple has packed a full-range driver, dual force-cancelling passive radiators and a custom acoustic waveguide into this compact Pink speaker, so sound spreads in 360 degrees rather than firing in one direction. Inside, the Apple S10 chip runs computational audio that tunes every track in real time. Ask Siri for a song hands-free, pair two speakers for stereo, or let it run your smart home as a hub for HomeKit- and Matter-enabled accessories. Built-in sensors keep track of temperature and humidity, and Sound Glow lights the top in time with the music.
What Our Specialists at AD Rate Most
Our specialists love how much sound this little speaker produces, with the S10 chip tuning the audio in real time and a custom waveguide spreading it in 360 degrees. They also highlight Sound Recognition, which listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and sends a critical alert to your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch when one is detected.

Room-Filling 360-Degree Audio
HomePod mini 2 pairs a full-range driver, powered by a neodymium magnet, with dual force-cancelling passive radiators for deep bass and crisp high frequencies. A custom acoustic waveguide sends sound out in 360 degrees, so the whole room hears a balanced mix. The Apple S10 chip runs computational audio, analysing your music in real time to adjust dynamic range, loudness and acoustic performance. Add a second HomePod mini 2 for stereo, or play the same music in every room with AirPlay.
A Hub for Your Home
As a smart home hub, HomePod mini 2 brings HomeKit- and Matter-enabled accessories together, with Thread networking technology built in. Built-in sensors monitor temperature and humidity in the room, and Sound Recognition listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, sending an alert to your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. Intercom lets you send a message to the whole house or to individual rooms, and three far-field microphones pick up Siri requests from across the room.
Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6 and UWB
Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 6 keep HomePod mini 2 connected, while an Ultra Wideband chip senses a nearby U1-equipped iPhone so you can hand music over to the speaker. AirPlay streams audio from Apple devices, and the speaker can act as the default speaker for a Mac with Wi-Fi 6E or later. Setting up needs an iPhone or iPad running the latest iOS or iPadOS, together with Wi-Fi internet access.
